PlayStation komt met nieuwe PS Plus

Na heel wat geruchten heeft PlayStation vandaag eindelijk de nieuwe versie van PS Plus voorgesteld. Die lanceert in juni en krijgt zoals verwacht verschillende niveaus met meerdere voordelen. De goedkoopste versie is PlayStation Plus Essential en is hetzelfde als PS Plus vandaag. Ook de prijs zal hetzelfde zijn. Daarna komt er PlayStation Plus Extra. Die bevat alle voordelen van het huidige PS Plus, met daarnaast ook een catalogus van meer dan 400 PS4- en PS5-games. Die games kan je ook downloaden naar je console. PlayStation Plus Extra kost €13,99 per maand, €39,99 per kwartaal of €99,99 per jaar.

Tot slot is er nog PlayStation Plus Premium. Daar krijg je nog eens meer dan 300 games bij van PS3, PS2, PS1 en PSP. PS3 games zal je via cloud gaming spelen, de andere games kan je ook downloaden. In markten waar PS Now momenteel al beschikbaar is (zoals in België en Nederland) komen daar nog een aantal games van PS1, PS2, PSP en PS4 bij om via cloud streaming te spelen. Dat kan op PS4, PS5 én pc. In de hoogste categorie van PS Plus krijg je ook time-limited demo’s. PlayStation Plus Premium kost €16,99 per maand, €49,99 per kwartaal of €119,99 per jaar.

PlayStation Plus Premium 

• Benefits:
  • Provides all the benefits from Essential and Extra tiers
  • Adds up to 340 additional games, including:
    • PS3 games available via cloud streaming
    • A catalog of beloved classic games available in both streaming and download options from the original PlayStation, PS2 and PSP generations 
  • Offers cloud streaming access for original PlayStation, PS2, PSP and PS4 games offered in the Extra and Premium tiers in markets where PlayStation Now is currently available. Customers can stream games using PS4 and PS5 consoles, and PC.
  • Time-limited game trials will also be offered in this tier, so customers can try select games before they buy.
